By leveraging industry-academia-government collaboration, the AI Research Institute, and the San Jose R&D Center, we continuously deepen our expertise and technologies in cutting edge fields. We strengthen innovative key technologies and drive research and development that enhances business value while contributing to the resolution of societal challenges.

AI Research Institute

The AI Research Institute promotes advanced AI technology research, AI system development, and AI talent cultivation to support our clients' digital transformation (DX) and business innovation.
Building on insights gained through participation in the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)'s AI Quality Management Project and joint research with the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo on the utilization of space and satellite data, we are advancing our AI services and creating new value.

Participation in AIST's AI Quality Management Project

Since 2020, we have been participating in a research initiative led by AIST aimed at safely and reliably managing the quality of AI enabled products and services. Through this initiative, we have contributed to the development of the AI Quality Guidelines and the Platform for Quality Assessment of AI Systems.

Development of the In House Generative AI Service AdsolChat

We developed AdsolChat, an in house generative AI service designed to eliminate information leakage risks and ensure safe and secure usage. The service has been deployed company wide and is helping improve operational efficiency across a wide range of activities, including system development and other business operations.

San Jose R&D Center

At our San Jose R&D Center, we continuously explore and research the insights and technologies emerging each day from Silicon Valley, the global hub of cutting edge innovation, and deliver them to Japan to drive future oriented challenges.
Through local technology trend research and relationship building with Japanese companies in the region, we focus not only on strengthening our technological capabilities but also on creating new business opportunities in Japan.

TOPICS  Advancing Smart Cities: Participation in Co Creation of Digital Area Design in Oimachi

As part of our research and development activities with the Yan Wanglin Laboratory at Keio University's SFC Research Institute, we are participating in the project Co Creation of Digital Area Design in Oimachi, a FY2024 supported project under the Tokyo Chiiki Project by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Focusing on walkability--an indicator that evaluates both the ease and enjoyment of walking. We are responsible for developing a Smart City Support Platform that digitizes the information required for future oriented urban development by leveraging geographic information systems and IoT technologies.

TOPICS  Establishment of Team Space Data Lab to Promote the Utilization of Space and Satellite Data

From 2022 to 2026, we have been conducting joint research with the Nakasuka-Funase-Ikari Laboratory of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, focusing on Space/Satellite Data × AI and Space and IT Human Resource Development.
Through initiatives such as lectures at the University of Tokyo and seminars for junior and senior high school students, we developed a shared recognition that launching the utilization of space and satellite data requires hands on, long term support that goes beyond conventional business frameworks. Based on this understanding, Team Space Data Lab was established, led by Professor Shinichi Nakasuka of the University of Tokyo, Akira Mukaida, COO/CTO of Oppofields, and our AI Research Institute.
With a neutral and open stance, the team aims to support the first steps in utilizing space and satellite data through activities such as seminars, and to contribute to promoting the use of such data by local governments and regional communities.
